Cannes, October 14th 2016 - At the occasion of MIPCOM 2016, Cyber Group Studios is pleased to bring an
unprecedented amount of new series in production and in development with major partners.
These projects cover all target age-groups of the kids’ space, as well as different types of animation techniques to reflect artistic diversity and sensitivities, such as traditional 2D, CGI, hybrid and 2D/3D.
At the occasion of the upcoming MIPCOM, Cyber Group Studios will introduce the first episodes of the third season of its hit CGI preschool series ZOU (156x11’ HD –CGI) produced for Disney EMEA. Cyber Group Studios will also introduce during MIPCOM the first episodes of Mirette Investigates (52 x 11’ HD – 2D), a TF1 & Canal+ (France), WDR (Germany) and TV3 Catalunya (Spain) Kids targeted coproduction. Zak Jinks (52x13' 2D HD), produced by Label Anim Production for France 3 and France Télévisions and distributed by Cyber Group Studios, will also be introduced during the market. Finally, Cyber Group Studios will present a new exciting CGI preschool series from Omens Studios (Singapore), Leo, The Wildlife Ranger (60x11’ HD - CGI) which has been sold to Amazon in the US. These four series are currently being delivered to broadcasters around the world.
At the same time, Cyber Group Studios is introducing the trailer of Gilbert & Allie (52x11') its new full CGI coproduction with Brown Bag Films for Disney EMEA, currently in production, as well as its flagship 2D/3D series The Pirates Next Door (52x11' HD - CGI), based on Jonny Duddle’s award-winning book. Both series are currently slated for delivery respectively in 2018 and 2017.
Cyber Group Studios will also bring to the market five new series in development, on top of the two co-productions already announced with the Jim Henson Company: BouBouh (52x11' HD – CGI) and Enchanted Sisters (52x11’ 2D HD). This last series, targeting 6 to 8 years-old boys and girls, was presented at Cartoon Forum in September and a brand new trailer will be released at MIPCOM. In addition to these series, Cyber Group Studios is pleased to bring to the market its new version of Tom Sawyer (26x22’) currently in development with ARD/HR (Germany) and SRC (Canada), as well as Gigantosaurus (52x11' HD – CGI) a new preschool show for Disney Junior EMEA. Cyber Group Studios will also introduce to the market Taking down Taffy (52x7' 2D HD), its first full 2D cartoon comedy in coproduction with Turner.
Recently presented at the latest Cartoon Forum in Toulouse, the series in development include Menino and the Children of the World (52 x 7’ Animation & Live-Action - 2D - HD) a new original and innovative project in coproduction with Folivari and Winds, and Ernest and Rebecca (52x13’) a Media Valley production for TF1 (France), distributed by Cyber Group Studios.
To complete its development line up, Cyber Group Studios has picked up a completely new project entitled Goal Force (22x26’ 2D HD). Under development with Disney EMEA, the series is coproduced with the French independent company “La Chouette Compagnie”.
